MOVE IT OR LOSE IT: SHOULDERS FOR MODERN BODIES MOBILITY WORKSHOP

Our modern lifestyles—hours at desks, endless scrolling, and repetitive movements—can leave shoulders stiff, tight, and unstable. In this workshop, we’ll explore how these habits impact your yoga practice, shoulder health, and everyday movement, and work through practical techniques to keep your shoulders mobile, strong, and injury-resistant.

You’ll also learn why certain anatomical restrictions might make it feel like you’re “hitting a wall” in a pose—and what you can do about it.

By the end of this session, you’ll:

  • Understand your shoulder anatomy and movement patterns

  • Explore how shoulders support key yoga poses like Downward Dog, Plank, Dolphin, Wild Thing, and Wheel

  • Learn targeted mobility drills (including Controlled Articular Rotations) to create space and freedom of movement

  • Discover simple ways to strengthen for stability and prevent injuries

  • Leave with a take-home movement journaling sheet to inform your daily movement practice

This is perfect for yogis of all levels, whether you’re returning to the workshop or experiencing it for the first time.
